The last moth – 2025
Acrylic on raw recycled canvas
Brown long-eared bats numbers have decreased by over 11% in the last five years, and I'm sure this is related to flying insects (which are their food source) numbers being down by 60% since 2004. In this painting I imagine all the bats in the future, chasing one of the last ever moths they can find, which is one of their favourites – the large yellow underwing moth. Hopefully, we can change this future, by supporting all the creatures within our ecosystem.
